I’m super excited to be hosting my first Mindful Mums’ Breakfast Club at the gorgeous Atelier 8 – a new space for yoga and mindful living in Stow-on-the-Wold.

The morning retreat will be on ‘Beat the Mum Stress & Master Your Mind‘ and will run from 10am to approx 1:30pm. It’s the perfect opportunity to give yourself the morning off, to reflect on whatever you might be coming up against at the moment, and to learn how to change your relationship with stress and create more calm in your everyday life.

As mums we carry a very heavy, often invisible, mental load that can take its toll on our physical, mental and emotional health. Stress looks different for us all, but when it is allowed to build up without us replenishing our resources, this is when we can get into trouble. The key is not always in eliminating the stress, but in making it work for you. Motherhood is messy and marvellous, but learning to quit the chaos for even a few minutes has been found to make a massive difference to overall wellbeing. In this session, you’ll discover how to make stress your friend and how mindfulness is medicine for the mind. This will help you build emotional resilience and capacity, so that you are better able to cope with the challenges that life throws your way.

Whatever stage of motherhood you’re at, this retreat is for you if you want to:

– Slow down, let go and feel less stressed and overwhelmed

– Show yourself more self-compassion

– Improve your overall mood

– Feel more present in the everyday

– Build resilience and capacity to cope with challenges

– Improve your sleep

Below you can see a schedule for the morning. It will be an interactive, discussion-based session where you’ll get the opportunity to share with an intimate group of like-minded mums, as well as reflect on your own personal experiences and challenges. Please come in comfy clothing. 

10:00 – Arrival, Coffee & Breakfast

10:30 – Stress spot mini zen + Introduction

10:45 – How to make stress your friend

11:45 – Break

12:00 – From Messy to Mindful

12:30 – Cyclic Meditation – Demo + Practice

13:15 – Q&A + Final comments

13:30 – Approximate End

You also have the option of booking onto Kate’s Vinyasa class at 9am to make a full morning of it. Iy is open to all levels including beginners. Please click here to book the yoga class separately.
